Aidlin Hills Project

Location map with Mentryville on the left

Lennar Homes' Aidlin Hills project in Wickham Canyon was conditionally approved on August 17, 2016 by the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission. It was first proposed to the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning in July of 2013. The tract consists of 102 single-family homes and will be located on Pico Canyon Road just west of the Southern Oaks tract of Stevenson Ranch. Less than a mile away is Mentryville. It was named for landowner Joseph Aidlin. They are going to grade over 100,000 cubic yards of earth for only 102 homes. To me, that seems excessive, but the LACRP was fine with it.

It is 2023 and this project has not started. I do not why.

Here are some of the project documents:

Preparation Comments from the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy - October 27, 2014 (PDF .5MB).

Environmental Checklist from Initial Study (PDF 1.7MB).

Tentitive Tract Map - October 28, 2014 (PDF 5.7MB).

Conceptual plan

Entrance to project from tract map. Shows that existing road loop will be eliminated.
